[NEW] Calvin Harris ft. Kelis – “Bounce”
Well, there is no denying that Kelis‘ dance diva/electromistress album Flesh Tone wasn’t just a phase the singer was going through. The singer really seems to have found a great sound for her unique voice nestled in the atmosphere of hard hitting, room filling, synthetic dance beats. She teamed up with producer Calvin Harris‘ latest endeavor on a high energy hitter that could have been featured on Kelis’ 2010 summer album. Personally, easier to love upon first listen than his previous single Awooga, this song will certainly be a part of the soundtrack for your summer nightlife.
Benjamin Francis Leftwich
York musician Benjamin Francis Leftwich just popped on to my radar today. His Elliott Smith/Ryan Adams influenced floaty, melancholic vocals and deft finger-picking are perfect for fans in the middle of Jose Gonzales and Iron and Wine. Four songs will come together in an Ian Grimble (Mumford & Sons) produced EP called “A Million Miles Out” (out on Oct. 25th), with the full length out in March of next year.

Eumig & Chinon
Hey guys, hope you had a great holiday, and I apologize for my long absence again.
Nonetheless, I love to kick off the new year with some great music to set the mood, and I love when that music is actually great and I’m not just lying. So, Eumig & Chinon is an act I’ve come to love, now I’m not saying I know that much about him, but as I go on my usual blog scavenge-hunts I’ve always managed to get a remix or original by Eumig & Chinon in the bag with me. And just thought to myself: “Fuck, this shit is epic”, and put it on my DJ playlist and not thought that much more of it.
Now, intrigued by this producer with a track record of putting out amazing tracks one after another, and convincing me that Kashow wasn’t a one-off shot in the dark I feel forced to learn more about him. This guy actually has only good stuff, I cannot emphazise this enough. So, Eumig & Chinon aren’t a duo, contrary to the name, it actually consists of a 26 year old Danish producer by the name of Christian Kastbjerg. Blessed by the French House angels his productions are.. Wait.. I have a image going.. Imagine THIS, then THIS and finally THIS. There you have it, that’s what it sounds like, pure gold for the ears.
